Electric kettle by the Swedish brand Aarke, model Kettle in the steel finish (article A1242). The jug is SUS304 stainless steel with a heat-safe handle, and the temperature is set between 40 and 100 °C; an LED cool-down indicator shows the water cooling and the kettle remembers the last temperature chosen. It holds 0.5 to 1.2 l, boils in about three minutes at 1850-2200 W, and has a non-drip spout, dry-boil protection, a removable stainless limescale filter and a 360° base with cord storage. It measures 19 x 27 x 14 cm and weighs 1.7 kg. This article has a type G plug (United Kingdom and Ireland).
When choosing a kettle, look at the usable capacity, minimum and maximum, the power rating, which sets the boiling time, whether the temperature can be set for teas and infusions that should not be made with boiling water, the material of the jug and of the parts in contact with water, and whether the limescale filter can be taken out for cleaning. It needs a 220-240 V socket; always fill it between the minimum and maximum marks, never switch it on empty, and descale it regularly where the water is hard.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official datasheet prevails. The product is covered by the three-year legal guarantee of conformity (Spanish RDL 1/2007).
