Portable air conditioner by Clarke, model AC10050. It is a single-block unit on castors that needs no fixed installation: it vents warm air through a flexible hose to a window or a wall opening and can be moved from room to room. It offers cooling, fan and dehumidifying modes, without a heating function.
When choosing the capacity, start from the floor area and the orientation of the room: capacity is declared in BTU/h and in frigories per hour, and this model sits at 9000 BTU/h, a figure the manufacturer links to rooms of 18 to 22 m². It is also worth checking the noise level if the unit will run at night, the energy class and the refrigerant type. Installation requires the exhaust hose outlet to be kept clear, the hose not to be extended beyond what the manufacturer allows, and a 220-240 V socket; the window must be sealed with the supplied kit so that warm air does not come back in.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official datasheet prevails. The product is covered by the three-year legal guarantee of conformity (Spanish RDL 1/2007).
