Desiccant drying does not rely on a compressor, so it keeps its output in cold rooms — garages, box rooms, cellars and holiday homes — where a compressor unit loses capacity. When choosing, look at the declared extraction in l/24 h, the tank volume, the continuous-drainage option and the noise level; the outlet air is warm, which helps laundry drying but raises the room temperature slightly. It needs free space around the grilles and a 220-240 V socket.
