Evaporative humidifier by Meaco, model Armin, in the 680 ml/h version. Water evaporates through pads and leaves as invisible moisture, so it deposits no white dust on furniture. It is intended for bedrooms and living rooms and works with evaporation pads and a Silvertex treatment that are replaced periodically.
When choosing a humidifier it is worth comparing the humidification output in ml/h or litres per day and the declared room size, the tank volume and the run time it allows, the technology (ultrasonic, evaporative or steam) and the maintenance it requires: ultrasonic units need soft water or a demineralisation cartridge to avoid white dust, while evaporative units use a wick filter that is replaced periodically. The appliance needs a stable surface, clearance from walls and furniture and a 220-240 V socket; relative humidity is best monitored with a hygrometer and kept between 40 and 60 %.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official product datasheet prevails. The appliance is covered by the three-year legal guarantee of conformity (Spanish RDL 1/2007).
