Bean-to-cup coffee machine by Melitta, model Purista F230-102, in black. At 20 cm wide it is one of the narrowest bean-to-cup machines, and it makes espresso and café crème with direct keys, including two cups at once. It has a quiet steel conical grinder with five grind settings, three strength levels, adjustable brewing temperature (85, 90 or 95 °C), pre-infusion and a key to save a favourite coffee. 1.2 l water tank, 125 g bean hopper and 1450 W maximum power.
It is a machine for black coffee: it has no steam wand or milk system, which is worth being clear about when comparing. The brewing unit comes out for cleaning and there are automatic cleaning and descaling programmes, auto-off and a 0 W switch; the optional Pro Aqua filter reduces limescale. It measures 334 x 200 x 459 mm (height x width x depth), weighs 7.2 kg and runs on 220-240 V.
