Espresso machine by Germany’s Profitec, model Pro 400, with a heat exchanger system that lets you brew coffee and steam milk at the same time. It has an insulated 1.6 l stainless steel boiler, a Profitec brew group with stainless steel mushroom, a vibration pump and a switch under the machine to choose between three PID-controlled temperatures and to turn pre-infusion and ECO mode on or off. The dual gauge shows boiler and pump pressure, and the steam and hot water valves are low-wear rotary valves.
It is a semi-professional portafilter machine for home use. When choosing, consider the weight (21.5 kg) and the space: 228 x 448 x 372 mm (w x d x h) without portafilter and 558 mm deep with it. The 2.8 l tank has an automatic low-water shut-off. Supplied with a modular bottomless portafilter with silicone spouts, 7, 14 and 21 g baskets, a blind filter, tamper, brush and coloured valve discs. Power 1400 W at 230 V.
