The Shark PowerDetect UV Reveal RV3000XEUKWH is a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mops in the same pass. Ultraviolet light and RGB sensors help it find dried stains, sticky residue or pet accidents that are hard to spot, which it treats with HyperSonic mopping. Eight PowerDetect functions adapt cleaning to dirt, floor type, dry and wet edges and objects in its path, and the robot leaves the mop pad at the base when it only needs to vacuum. The ThermaCharged NeverTouch Pro base empties debris into a bagless bin holding around 60 days of dust, refills the robot’s water and washes the pad with 85 °C water before drying it with 80 °C air. Cleaning width is 31.5 cm and the battery gives up to 180 minutes of use, with about four hours to recharge.
When choosing a robot vacuum, compare the navigation and mapping system, the suction power, the battery runtime against the size of the home, the type of brushes (rubber brushes tangle less with hair) and, if it mops, how the mop is wetted and cleaned. The charging dock needs a socket and free space at the sides and in front; self-emptying docks use bags or bins that need emptying or replacing, and mop-washing docks have clean and dirty water tanks that are refilled and emptied by hand.
