Monobloc portable air conditioner by De’Longhi, model Pinguino Compact PAC ES72. According to the manufacturer it takes up 40 % less floor space than a traditional Pinguino, and it delivers 8,300 BTU/h of cooling for rooms of about 60 m³. It uses R290 refrigerant, is energy class A and adds a dehumidifying function of up to 21 l in 24 hours. The fan has three speeds (180 to 280 m³/h airflow, 61 dB) and is operated from the LCD touch-control display or the remote control. It has built-in handles and castors, and comes with a 1.5 m exhaust hose and a window kit. This version runs on 220-240 V with a type G (UK) plug; white, 361 x 296 x 698 mm.
When choosing the capacity, start from the floor area and the orientation of the room: capacity is declared in BTU/h, and this model sits at 8,300 BTU/h. It is also worth checking the noise level if the unit will run at night, the energy class and the refrigerant type. Installation requires the exhaust hose outlet to be kept clear, the hose not to be extended beyond what the manufacturer allows, and a 220-240 V socket; the window must be sealed with the supplied kit so that warm air does not come back in.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official datasheet prevails. The product is covered by the three-year legal guarantee of conformity (Spanish RDL 1/2007).
