The eufy Omni S1 Pro is a square-shaped robot vacuum and mop that reaches edges and 90-degree corners more easily. It mops with a 290 mm roller spinning at 170 rpm that is rinsed constantly with clean water and detergent from its two reservoirs, pressing on the floor with 1 kg; on carpets it lifts the mop by 12 mm. It vacuums with up to 8,000 Pa and uses a brush designed to reduce hair tangles. The UniClean station empties dust into a bag, washes and warm-air dries the mop, refills water, doses detergent, collects dirty water, makes ozonated water from tap water and is operated from a touch screen. The robot navigates with dToF LiDAR and 3D SLAM and avoids obstacles using binocular infrared imaging and an RGB camera. This version comes with spare filters.
When choosing a robot vacuum, compare the navigation and mapping system, the suction power, the battery runtime against the size of the home, the type of brushes (rubber brushes tangle less with hair) and, if it mops, how the mop is wetted and cleaned. The charging dock needs a socket and free space at the sides and in front; self-emptying docks use bags or bins that need emptying or replacing, and mop-washing docks have clean and dirty water tanks that are refilled and emptied by hand.
