A purifier from the MeacoClean range of the British brand Meaco. It draws air in around its whole perimeter and passes it through an H13 filter that, according to the manufacturer, captures over 99.97 % of particles. The air quality indicator changes colour, night mode switches off the lighting and reduces noise, and the child lock prevents accidental setting changes. The Wi-Fi app lets you follow the indoor pollen level against the outdoor one and run the unit from the phone.
When choosing an air purifier it is worth comparing the clean air delivery rate (CADR) and the room size the manufacturer declares for it, the filtration stages and the cost and frequency of replacement filters, the noise level in the quietest and in the maximum mode, and the power draw in continuous operation. To deliver the stated figures the unit needs free space around the air inlet and outlet grilles, a position out of the way and a 220-240 V socket; filters are replaced on the schedule given in the manual and are not washed unless the manufacturer allows it.
The data shown is taken from the documentation published by the manufacturer; where they differ, the official product sheet prevails. The appliance is covered by the three-year legal guarantee of conformity (RDL 1/2007).
