The Samsung Bespoke AI Jet Bot Combo AI+ (VR7MD97714G/EU) vacuums and mops in a single robot finished in Satin Greige. Its Qualcomm processor, dToF LiDAR sensor and an object-recognition camera let it identify obstacles and pets and steer around them, while floor detection raises power on carpets and lifts the two mop pads by 10 mm or leaves them at the station. It reaches 6,000 Pa of suction and up to 180 minutes of runtime on a lithium-ion battery. The Clean Station Steam+ washes the mops at high temperature, sanitises them with steam, dries them with hot air, empties the robot into a 2.5 L bag and refills its water from a 4 L clean tank. It offers four cleaning modes, a live cleaning report and control via SmartThings, Bixby, Alexa or Google Assistant.
When choosing a robot vacuum, compare the navigation and mapping system, the suction power, the battery runtime against the size of the home, the type of brushes (rubber brushes tangle less with hair) and, if it mops, how the mop is wetted and cleaned. The charging dock needs a socket and free space at the sides and in front; self-emptying docks use bags or bins that need emptying or replacing, and mop-washing docks have clean and dirty water tanks that are refilled and emptied by hand.
