The Morphy Richards Illumination set combines a jug kettle and a four-slice toaster in a navy finish, each with a perforated steel band that glows blue while in use. The kettle holds 1.7 L, uses a 3 kW element, sits on a 360° base and has a cup-marked water window, a removable limescale filter and cord storage; it measures 22 x 15.4 x 26.3 cm and weighs 1.1 kg. The 1.8 kW toaster has two pairs of variable-width slots that work independently, seven browning settings, reheat, defrost and cancel buttons and a removable crumb tray; it measures 30 x 29.5 x 19 cm and weighs 2.5 kg. Both have a 0.7 m cord. The manufacturer notes that the paint process can leave a slight shade difference between the two pieces.
When choosing a kettle, look at the capacity, the power, whether the water temperature can be selected (useful for teas and infusions), the type of limescale filter, the water-level window and the swivel base. Stand it on a flat, dry surface away from the edge of the worktop and plug it straight into the socket; descale it regularly according to the hardness of your water.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official datasheet prevails. The product is covered by the three-year legal guarantee of conformity (Spanish RDL 1/2007).
