Bladeless tower fan by Igenix, model IGFD02549W, 41 inches (105.6 cm) tall. It combines fan and a filtration stage with a dual HEPA filter and pre-filters in one unit, through which the air passes before leaving the column. It offers ten speeds and normal, sleep, natural and breeze modes, 65° oscillation and airflow of up to 20 m³/min, with a maximum noise level of 62 dB. The LED display shows the room temperature and the settings, and it is operated from the panel or with the remote control; it has a programmable 24-hour timer and remembers the last setting. With no exposed blades the outside is easy to wipe clean.
When choosing a tower fan with a filter, look at the airflow and the number of speeds, the oscillation angle, the maximum noise level if it will run in a bedroom, and the type and cost of the replacement filters, which should be changed as often as the manufacturer states. Stand the unit on a flat surface with free space around the air intake; it runs from an ordinary 220-240 V socket. The filter complements the ventilation of the home but does not replace it.
