The white eufy Omni C28 is a robot vacuum and mop supplied with an all-in-one station and, in this version, extra dust bags. It vacuums with up to 15,000 Pa on hard floors, rugs and carpets, and mops with a HydroJet roller that is cleaned continuously while it works and presses on the floor with 1 kg of force. DuoSpiral brushes are designed to stop hair from wrapping. The station empties the dust bin, washes the mop, refills the robot’s water, dries the mop with warm air and collects the dirty water, so upkeep comes down to changing the bag and emptying the tanks from time to time. It navigates with the iPath 2.0 system, which detects obstacles in low light and under furniture, and it is controlled through the eufy app.
When choosing a robot vacuum, compare the navigation and mapping system, the suction power, the battery runtime against the size of the home, the type of brushes (rubber brushes tangle less with hair) and, if it mops, how the mop is wetted and cleaned. The charging dock needs a socket and free space at the sides and in front; self-emptying docks use bags or bins that need emptying or replacing, and mop-washing docks have clean and dirty water tanks that are refilled and emptied by hand.
